- Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI have really enjoyed the "Independents" series written by Ted Hill. Characters are intriguing. The story and plot are well written.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2014Format: KindleVerified PurchaseSo I read all three books. Sudden Independents was so good, with minor flaws, I thought it would get better. Hungry Independents was not so good. I kept thinking Ted Hill might pull this one out of the crapper! I was wrong!
Once again the three Saints are morons. Saint Margaret, so upset about her missing hymen, retreats. Joan of Arc shows up! Saint Barbara is still a cheap tart! Saint Catherine is still a freaky little girl who knows all and knows nothing!
The Mortal females, so pure in their faith are still willing to get knocked up without entering into the bonds of holy matrimony and the covenant of marriage with God. Hmmmmm.....lots of hypocracy and b.s. going on here!
The boys have seen friends healed! Have been healed by God! Even brought back from the dead.....but they don't know if they believe in God or not......Yeah right!
Even after the triumphant ending..... I have not hope. If this is the best our species will have left we deserve to die out!!!!
Either Ted Hill has never met a female with a brain or he hates women! Either Ted Hill has never met a truly intelligent well rounded young male or he hates teen boys!
The tragedy is Ted Hill is a good writer, he has a voice! Yet he has no concept of human behavior. Here he had the chance to show the glory of humanity! The human ability to rise to greatness as well as plunge to the depths of hell and he gave us wet bread.
